We need members to use personal email addresses. As members switch over, more and more of the wall lights up. It’s fully illuminated when every member has moved to a personal address. If you use a @cardiff.ac.uk address, you’ll get an email from the branch with a personal link to change it.

Why are we doing this?

We can now hold electronic ballots to take industrial action, and the resulting mandate will be valid for twelve months instead of six. However, to do this, we need to send ballots to your personal email address instead of to a university email address.

A significant proportion of the branch membership is using @cardiff.ac.uk email addresses, and we need to move members off these if we're going to be able to run electronic ballots. Electronic ballots will save branch Get The Vote Out teams a huge amount of labour, and avoid problems with undelivered or misplaced ballots.

Please help us by switching from a workplace email address to a personal email address. If you have any questions, please contact the branch office.
